Overview

The Osluv Project is a U.S.–based initiative focused on improving indoor air quality through innovative, research-driven UV technology. The organization needed a cohesive visual identity that communicated both scientific credibility and approachability, reflecting their mission to make cleaner air accessible for everyone. I was commissioned to develop a full brand system including logo design, color palette, typography, stationery, website visuals, and social media templates, to bring consistency and professionalism to their public launch.

The Challenge

The Osluv team wanted to move away from generic, clinical imagery and instead create a visual identity that felt trustworthy, modern, and human-centered. The challenge was to balance their technological roots with an inviting personality that would resonate with partners, donors, and everyday audiences alike.

The Solution

The logo merges a honeycomb structure, representing technology, science, and collaboration, with a speech-bubble form symbolizing openness, communication, and shared knowledge. Interwoven lines convey connection and partnership, while the subtle cut in the “V” of OSLUV echoes the honeycomb geometry, creating a unified visual rhythm across the wordmark. The color palette is built around a deep ultraviolet purple, directly referencing the UV light central to Osluv’s air-purification technology. Complementary tones of light blue and lavender add clarity and softness, ensuring the brand feels both innovative and approachable. Clean, geometric typography reinforces precision and structure, while angled layouts across digital and print applications tie the system together. Deliverables included a complete stationery suite, website mockups, social templates, and event branding, all designed to ensure flexibility and cohesion across every channel.

The visual identiy positioned The Osluv Project as a confident, research-driven organization with a distinct and memorable presence. The system’s balance of technological rigor and human warmth helped elevate their communications and created a foundation for consistent visual storytelling as the organization continues to grow.
